Delhi Sealing : Delhi High Court has noted illegal construction

The Delhi High court has noted that more than 18,000 buildings in Delhi have illegal construction, several of these have fourth and fifth floors.
In the first scenario, those fourth and fifth floors, which are in Delhi’s 1500 unauthorised colonies, will be spared because they have been granted amnesty till December 31, 2008.

Seal shops in illegal colonies

The sealing squad is back. The Supreme Court on Monday ordered the sealing of commercial establishments in 1,500 unauthorised colonies in Delhi. The time limit set: just three weeks.
A three-judge bench headed by Justice Arijit Pasayat directed that “all commercial premises in unauthorised colonies shall stop functioning except 24 categories allowed in regular colonies.” [...]

HC directed to MCD, DDA for submit records

The Delhi High Court today directed the MCD as well as DDA to submit records relating to the land and flats allotted to people in Kalkaji’s transit camp area, where the DDA recently started sealing flats on the ground of alleged misuse of properties by selling them off.
