Paharganj Guesthouses faces sealing
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) sealed three guesthouses/hotels in Paharganj.
Meanwhile, the Hotel Mahasangh, an organisation of hotels, which was to meet Deputy Commissioner of Sadar Zone Renu Jagdev to put in a request against the sealing drive, could not do so as they were not granted an appointment.
The MCD had issued showcause notices to the three hotels and 18 others on November 18, to provide details of the built-up structures within 48 hours. The three sealed guesthouses, according to the MCD, did not have a sanction for the building and were not registered under the Special Area Provisions of Masterplan Delhi-2021. These properties were also not paying the conversion charges and did not have valid health licences.
