Delhi Sealing : Court Discharged H S Balli
27 01 2008Magistrate Gautam Manan on Friday discharged H.S. Balli, a Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) legislator, from charges of blocking a public servant during the court-ordered 2004 drive to seal illegal buildings in the capital.
Metropolitan Magistrate Gautam Manan dropped all the charges against the Delhi state assembly member from Hari Nagar constituency after noting that there was no prima-facie evidence against him.
According to the complaint lodged by a sub-divisional magistrate (SDM), Balli obstructed him in discharge of his official duties and also scuffled with him as he tried to seal an illegal property in the Mayapuri locality.
