Over 2000 Kashmiri traders feel heat of MCD sealing
Over 2000 Kashmiri businessmen in Delhi whose establishments have come under Municipal Corporation Delhi sealing have appealed both the Delhi and the state governments for their rehabilitation.
Naqati vehemently rejected the statements carried by a section of press here, which claimed the MCD had absolved the Kashmiri traders at Delhi from sealing their basements. “The sealing is going on unabated and no concession has been given to Kashmiri traders. Even the basements which were earlier promised would be left out from the sealing are now under the threat of the sealing,” he said.
He said Pangwani had categorically told the Kashmiri traders that he could only work as per monitoring committee guidelines and as per the guidelines basements would be allowed only for household storage, which in any case did not help the traders at all.
Naqati said the traders had again met Naresh and were waiting for the decision to be taken by him regarding the basements of the Kashmiri traders.
“We all are facing a lot of problems here regarding the sealing. There is no business here this time because everybody has taken out their goods from their places just because of sealing,” he said.
The association has appealed the government of Delhi and J&K for their rehabilitation.
