Delhi Sealing : 51 shops sealed by MCD

Municipal Corporation of Delhi today continued its sealing drive targeting 51 shops in a posh south Delhi commercial area, saying the establishments were not exempted under the new master plan rules.
The sealing squads took action against 51 such shops in Rajnish Arya Marg in South-Extension area “as they fall in the non-confirmed areas and do not enjoy any relaxation for conducting commercial activities under Master Plan for Delhi- 2021,” an MCD official said here.
The shops include a showroom of card and gift chain Archies.
Area traders association president Rajesh, however, claimed the shops were exempted from the sealing drive under the provisions of MPD-2021.
