Delhi Sealing : Delhi Master Plan on agenda for GoM
Stung by the legal challenge towards moves to liberalise mixed-land use in Delhi, the Union Urban Development Ministry is set to make a ten-point presentation to the Group of Ministers (GoM) on the draft master plan for the capital in an attempt to get its seal before sanctioning the Master Plan Delhi (MPD) 2021.
Redevelopment, environment and heritage, slum rehabilitation and parking and public transport for the capital are among the key areas that the ministry has selected for its agenda for tomorrow’s GoM meeting.
Mixed-land use, conservation and rejuvenation of the walled city, private participation, relief from court-ordered MCD action against schools and healthcare centres in residential zones, water supply and power are other items on the UDM’s planned presentation to the GoM headed by Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil.
